Confinement

Confounding me

Overpowering chimera

Negate my reality

Finding borders

In wide open spaces

Nihilistic propensities

Evict reason from its seat

Mirages rule roost

Eversomore.

Nothing’s more confining as freedom

Tie me down and make me free!

  4. “Nothing’s more confining as freedom

Tie me down and make me free!” – there are strong and subtle ironies that flood your poetry, with the panache I feel of a very very special pen! Although the images seemed disjunctive to me, I still enjoyed the pleasant ‘discord’… beyond the Transcendental Signified as it were is the cosmos of imagination which is the prime dealer in personal truths.

    enjoyed this:)

    • Thank you so!

I was trying to convey that we all hold illusions and these makes reason take a back seat. esp coz we have so much freedom in our hands, we do not know what to do. And hence, to learn what freedom really means, we should experience bondage πŸ™‚

  5. and “nihilistic propensities” are so true of lives that dot the globe in our times!!!

  6. “Nihilistic propensities”
-How true. I recently wrote a verse based on a similar theme (din’t post:-) ) . I shall send you over sometime.

    “Eversomore.”
    – I think this is the highlight of your verse.

And the very spl beauty abt ur verses is that they are extraordinarily laconic. Yet, deep and striking. And that’s why I love coming back here:-)

  7. ”Tie me down and make me free”………wow. Beautiful.
Is that not what life is, we can be confined physically but never mentally…Beautiful poem….You are wiser than many of us, what with such beautiful thoughts that give us an insight to WTP….
