Lets get lost together…

To the unknown shores,

Lets walk together,
Down this winding road,
As far as it takes..Lets keep moving..
No, you shall not be alone,
For I shall hold you hands
And sun, the moon and stars,
Shall be with us till the distant lands…
Lets forget all the worries,
And get lost together
With the passing wind
Lets fly in open skies
The birds will dance with us,
So will the autumn leaves.
Like a driftwood lets float
Down the river bend..
Oh to the unknown shores,
Lets sail away to glory
With the naughty gushing Β waves,
Oh please lets not behave.
Just this once lets be foolish
And forget our way..
Through these meandering roads
Lets get lost together….
And may be then we will reach,
To that distant land.
Where sun and moon shine together
And never stay apart
With the glittering stars Β and
floating sands,
Into the inroads of our hearts atleast
lets get lost together

  5. where sun and moon shine together…
i love this so much. and it reminds me of one of my old poems. part of it goes like this:

    want to whisper you
    my dream that one day
    love is love
and earth and sky make love

  6. Poohees sweetums, they need money da ! the moon and the stars don’t drop food from the sky.

the system of money is a big tragedy of life.

Its like a sweet little prayer Poohees.

  7. what i mean is money ruins the romance Poohees, sorry, lack of it. but often not having money is pretty romantic too but less practical

  8. left me in an awe…

Rauf.. true true thats why the last line/.. “Into the inroads of our hearts atleast
    lets get lost together”

  10. sure, lets get lost! πŸ˜€

me with my gal, u with ur guy…! πŸ™‚

  11. πŸ™‚ Aahhh, this work is typical Meena. You know, the kind we write together. We must do it sometime again.

  12. not sure if you have read Dover Beach: the “colour” of this poem reminded me – if not essentially the content – pf Mathew Arnold’s masterpiece.

Indeed. One HAS to get lost in the company of someone close to be found in an ironic way.

“Oh please lets not behave.” – admirable use of something which sounds quotidian but carries almost the soul of the poem’s middle (as far as I see!)

and sorry for this jobless ranting:P. I get carried away while reading good poetry!

    • Oh please write as long as you like. I love reading comments. And do let me know of any poems you like. I love reading poems as much as I love writing them. I haven’t read this one. Will soon do it πŸ™‚
